He stands alone, but he does not look lonely. There is a beautiful stillness in this painting — a single rooster surrounded by soft greens, pale blues and open light. Behind him the colours sweep upward like a great wave, yet he remains calm and grounded.

To me, he represents quiet courage. We often think strength must be loud. We imagine it announcing itself, demanding attention. But some of the greatest strength is simply the ability to stand firmly in who we are.

The rooster has always greeted the beginning of a new day. He does not know what the day will bring, yet he rises and calls it forward.

The soft white of his feathers speaks of peace and clarity. The green beneath him is growth and renewal, while the flowing blue suggests change moving around him.

And still he stands. Quiet Courage is a reminder that we do not always have to fight the storm. Sometimes courage is simply standing in our own place, lifting our head, and being ready to meet another day.
