Sometimes the most beautiful things in life are not carefully planned. They appear. A splash of colour, a line that runs where it wants to go, a shape that suddenly becomes something you recognise. And if you allow it, a story begins to emerge.

In Colorful Jewels, the flowers seem to rise out of the paint itself. They are not separate from their surroundings. Their petals dissolve into rivers of colour, their leaves flow into the background, and the background becomes part of the bouquet.

For me, that is much like life. We often search for beauty in perfect things, yet some of our greatest treasures are hidden amongst the unexpected—the changes, the mistakes, the memories and the moments we never planned. Like jewels, they reveal themselves when the light catches them.

The dark areas make the whites brighter. The quiet greens allow the reds to sing. The wild movement makes the delicate flowers feel even more precious. Perhaps we need both—the dark and the light, the calm and the chaos—to see the full beauty of what is in front of us.

And somewhere amongst all those layers, colours and flowing lines, something beautiful quietly emerges. A reminder that life does not always have to be perfect to be magnificent. Sometimes we simply have to look long enough to discover the jewels.
