There is a moment when the storm has spent its anger, but the world has not yet found its voice again. The great white form rises from the painting like a wave, a cloud, a mountain — perhaps even a memory. It does not need to become one thing. It is the place where something powerful has happened.

Above it, the blue-grey sky still carries the marks of rain. The paint runs downward like tears that have already been cried. Below, the darker earth and water hold the weight of what has passed, while that vast white space brings light, cleansing and release.

This painting feels to me like the silence after an emotional storm. Not every difficult season leaves us damaged. Some wash away what we have carried for too long. They strip life back to something quieter and more truthful.

And then comes this moment — when the noise is gone, when you realise you are still standing, and when the first softness begins to return. The white is not emptiness. It is peace making room for itself.
