There are places where we do not need to explain ourselves. We simply belong. In this painting, three quiet figures stand together within a landscape that seems to have no beginning and no end. The earth moves around them in layers of green, stone, water and light.

They are small within this vast world, yet they do not seem insignificant. They seem at home.

There is something comforting about standing beside those who know you, while the world continues to change around you. The landscape flows and shifts. Colours merge. Edges disappear. Nothing is completely certain. And still, the three remain together.

Perhaps belonging is not about a particular place at all. Perhaps it is about finding those few souls beside whom we can simply stand—without needing to be anything other than ourselves.

The world can be enormous. But sometimes, all we need is to know that we are not standing in it alone. This is where we belong.
