The soul is never still. It moves like water — sometimes gently, sometimes with a force that carries everything before it. In this painting, the turquoise feels like renewal and freedom, while the darker currents hold the memories, struggles and experiences that have shaped us.

And through it all runs gold. The gold feels like the wisdom we gather as we travel through life. It does not sit neatly on the surface; it twists through the turbulence, reminding us that even our most difficult passages can leave something precious behind.

There is a wonderful sense of movement here — almost like an enormous wave rising and folding back into itself. Yet there is no destruction in it. There is transformation.

The softer earth colours around the edges seem to hold the movement, while the brilliant golden light in the lower corner feels like a destination — or perhaps a new beginning.

This painting speaks of becoming: of allowing life to change us, of releasing what can no longer remain, of trusting the current even when we cannot see where it is taking us.

Because perhaps we are never truly finished. We are always becoming — and somewhere within every changing tide, there is a thread of gold.
